Brand and Branding

today global brands are attracting customers and bring about profitability and prosperity for companies, industries and countries

• America
• Japan
• Germany
• France
• UK
• Switzerland and
• Korea
  

have the most reputed and successful brands in the worlds( look at their level of development, GDP and PPP indexes also)

but, what is all brand and branding about?

historically from epistemology perspective and language -wise speaking the term "brand" comes from a Greek word Brander or brandr which means to burn

thousands years ago sheep were identified with their burnt sign and shepherds and pastors differentiated their sheep with unique burnt signs


therefore differentiation is the essence of brand and branding is the way of doing it

brand means a different meansing and message a company intended and willing to deliver to its customer and more value of this differentiated message means more loyal and satisfied customers and more profit

differentiaiton needs technology, infrastructure, innovaiton and underestanding of consumers behavior fully and wisely


that is why branding is not a simple process to accomplish

it needs knowledge and know-how in all aspects

global managment for 2008

all know, 2008 was the year of the worst global financial crisis ever, the firestorms of international crisis slashed the body of all stock markets and is till threatening all companies globally from small ones to big giants MNCs and TNCs

some big companies whacked big international banks and insurance companies went bankrupt global leaders got scared and summited to make serious decisions

according to Peter f.Drucker the father of modern management, and whom i respect a lot

management means a four-stage process

plan
organize
lead
control

the financial crisis implicates only on lack of global managerial skills and abilities to do above activities and to predict future

Drucker says: "future is unpredictable and the only way to predict future is to make it"

global strategies, theorist and mangers failed making future because they tried to predict it in a different way and they believe in what they were doing


to avoid such deadly phenomena in future, mangers should learn from 2008

a comprehensive set of diagnostic studies must be undertaken and published to be globally broadcast and publicized

giants were hit and they normally dont like to be hit again

offensive and deffensive policies must be imposed immediately

these are my understanding and beliefs synoptically written here

studies must be conducted to wave
strategy
finance
politic
sociology
operation
and anthropology

this is the only cure for this illness, because it is easily understood that, 2008 financial crisis is not only financial but it is operatically and strategic as well
